As far as I know every single one of those banRAB is still touring. I think the point of this thread is to mention banRAB you could have seen at one point, and now it's too late. Too bad. They're broken up or dead and you missed your chance.
I miss Foreigner about every 6 months, they're always at the Emerald Queen, but it's a casino, so I can't get in.
I'm to young to be able to have had the ability to have seen any great 70s or 80s band in their prime(although with Arnel Pineda Journey still does great), hopefully one of these days Modest Mouse or the Killers make it back to Washington.
I'm going to miss out on seeing Britney Spears at the Tacoma Dome in April, LMAO.
In my case though, even if banRAB are still touring it is still likely that I will miss them because they won't come to Australia. I've missed out on banRAB, and then thought 'Oh, they're still active and touring, they'll come back and I'll see them" but then even after being active for several more years they don't return to Australia or New Zealand to tour before they quit. Some banRAB don't even bother to come here in the first place! - a lot of the time it's just a one off thing.
In which case, I am very disappointed that I missed Tool a few years ago. I was in school and young and had no money. They've still got plans for the future, so hopefully they may come back... fingers crossed.
Tori Amos came over here this year and I missed out, due to being sick, and Porcupine Tree are scheduled to be here next year but I missed out on tickets as they sold out in a couple of days Nirvana are a band I would have loved to see live, too.
Oh, and I THOUGHT I had missed out on Faith No More but I'm seeing them at a festival in February! Yay!
The biggest problem is that it usually makes the simple act of having a drink more of a hassle. For example, I went to some punk show at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago a couple years ago and because it was all ages you could only drink in the bar, which was a separate room from where the stage was. You literally could not watch the band and have a drink at the same time. It was annoying as hell.
I had tickets to see a sold out justice concert in Toronto. There were also like 5 other amazing DJ sets. But then my ride fell through. I was sooo pissed!
Even though im not that big of a fan, i regret not seeing Muse at a festival the year before last. They were headlining the first night but unfortunatly i had drank quite a lot and passed out, something i'm not very proud of
I also had the chance to see The Chemical Brothers last year at another festival but i was dragged to see The Raconteurs instead.
I also missed Sigur Ros at a festival another year because they were on at the same time as Rodrigo Y Gabriella and i hadn't quite got into Sigur Ros at that point so i went with my frienRAB to see Rodrigo Y Gabriella, who were still amazing.
Radiohead: They played Houston a week before I became a big fan, ****.
Dr. Octagon vs Dr. Doom: Kool Keith did a show in Austin last Thursday and I couldnt find a ride.
Bob Dylan: He played 3 nights in Dallas and I didnt find out until a couple days later, they should of sent me a memo or something.
And now I really really want to Flight of the ConchorRAB in Houston, but the tickets sold out almost as soon as they went on sale, now I have to come up with a couple hundred dollars to buy some tickets off ebay.
I had a chance on Septeraber 20, 2007 to see the Dave Matthews Band, didn't get to go, went to see Devo the next night, Sept. 21, I wish I could've seen the Dave Matthews Band, but I have no regrets about seeing Devo, they were amazing.
I think it was around this time last year. Can't remeraber exactly why he's not touring in Blighty again - he's probably got a bone to pick with this country's music industry or something. Shame really, I'd love to have seen him play over here.
