Bands/artists you like but everyone else hates

Some people I know who like similar (or, in some cases, much worse) music claim to dislike Alexisonfire and I have a sneaking suspicion that it's just because they've become so popular here.

Similar thing with The Trews - I've had a bunch of people tell me "THEY SUCK" and I just don't understand it. They play fun rock music, it's cool if you don't like it, but to hate them? Come on.

I won't start hating on a band just 'cause they achieve some level of success.

It was a joke.

Not a good one, mind you, but yeah, I make cracks about indie just like people make cracks about prog, I feel people get too antsy about it.

ya woot I jsut see especioally Interpol and The Strokes bashed nearly everywhere, I stipll haven't really gotten a 'feel' for this place yet, sorry..

RE: Daft Punk, I LOVED the 2nd album and it blew me away becasue I totally didn't liek his first but now the new one disappointed me greatly again, just my personal opinion so I both like him and don't like him if that makes sense.. The second one is incredible, though....
And I'm glad I'm not alone, Interpol I sort of lieked right away, then the more I heard them they grew and grew even more, one of the ones that started restoring my faith in modern stuff, actaully.

Just thought of a couple more, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, anything by any meraber of the Rat Pack(bit of a cliche I guess), Tracy Chapman(sp?), Razorlight, Oasis, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg(Really basic writer), 50 Cent(I know how bad he is, maybe it's the production I like!), and the list goes on and on!

I got into a fist fight once because someone said 'Selling England by the Pound' was ***. Needless to say I was a little more than pissed about it.

p.s. No bs, that really did happen.

i don't mind C&C, but listening to their albums can get a little boring. like Fasho said, their guitar work is pretty droning/dull.

their bassist however, has some impressive parts that go unnoticed sometimes
