Bamboo tablet not servicing entire screen in Photoshop/Corel Painter?

Hey I just received a Bamboo Craft for Christmas and installed everything today. It seems to work great minus the fact that in programs such as Photoshop and Painter (the two programs that were included with my tablet) and with the Bamboo dock this tablet is only servicing the top-left of my screen. I did a little research on Google to see that many people suggested going to Control panel>Hardware>Wacom Tablet Prop to fix this however, when I click that, I get an error claiming that a supported tablet could not be found. I've reinstalled the newest drivers from wacom I could find, reinstalled from the disk itself twice to no avail. (Yes I restarted my laptop every time)

Also, I've previously used an Intuos 4 tablet on this computer with its software (and it performed perfectly- no problems). Would that software be interfering? If so, how would I go about uninstalling it? I don't want to screw my current tablet's software up anymore than it might be already. It's weird because I can access the other two tablet preference changing things in the control panel, just not the one I need to access... haha. Oh, and I also tried to go into bamboo's prefs and click pen mode> details to change it that way-- no luck.

I am losing all patience with this to be frank. Also, I don't know if this tablet's touch thing is supposed to be able to be used as a track pad or not. When I first plugged it in, without installing software, it worked as a huge track pad and I quite enjoyed it-- is there a way to get it out of gesture mode to serve as a track pad? (My built-in one is becoming glitchy)

Help me please?
