Bambi Meets Godzilla - 1969

it is ranked one of the top 50 toons. Many people think it is great. I am not sure about it, but it has a strange appeal. Was a student toon project, that somehow got wide coverage. And it really is ranked up with the very best.

I remember that too. I forget when and how it exactly aired, but I remember watching it. Man, when I saw the ending, it scared the living daylights out of me. I had to change the channel because I was so scared.

I saw this many years ago. I thought it was crudely drawn, poorly animated, and entirely predictable.

I also thought it was hilarious. I LOVE IT!

It's a classic all right. When Godzilla 1985 was released on VHS they even had this cartoon precede the movie.

One of my favorite cartoons ever and one of the funniest ever made. I first saw it on PBS when I was a boy, must have been more than 20 years ago.

I originally saw it because it was the centerpiece of a Rhino Video Cartoons compilation, and I thought it was okay. Though, I don't get how it's so well liked, other than the fact that it's just a long peaceful scene that's suddenly interrupted by RANDOM GODZILLA. :sweat:

I think it's called juxtaposition. It's a very simple shock element for humour. I laffed the first time I saw it, but it doesn't really last beyond the first time. Odd that I remember it in 3D. I'm sure I only saw it in the original line drawing. I'm sure it's because people told me about it before I ever saw it. My own mental images.
