bakugan vs yugioh whos the best of the best

I liked Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was a kid but have never been into Bakugan (since I was like 15 when it came out last year, and it didn't seem like something I'd like now). So I'll have to say Yu-Gi-Oh!

What are you talking about? There both TV shows meant to sell something, mostly a game that makes no sense to the people that don't follow it.

That's not completely true. The Yu-Gi-Oh! manga was started before the card game. It was only because the manga was popular that they decided to start the anime and the card game to go along with it. The purpose by 4KiRAB was to promote the trading card game and their airings, but that wasn't the purpose in Japan with the original.

Bakugan falls into the trap that it was made to promote what is coming out in the future, not what was currently out, and a lot of people in Japan didn't like it. It wasn't until it had success in the US and Canada that it got a second series authorized, and even then it isn't that successful in the ratings. It has only been successful in terms of getting toys sold.

Well I was more referring to America really, I guess I should have specified on that.

I know YGO wasn't originally about the carRAB, hell I like the first 7 GN in the YGO manga really, as it revolved around other games, but the purpose of the show here in America felt like a way to promote the game, but I do give credit for 4KiRAB, UDE, and Konami for at least waiting to put the game out later. Unlike Bakugan where I saw the toys out a full month or 2 before the show even premiered on CN, it wasn't until the show aired that the toys sold like hotcakes.

Honestly, I like the first Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, better than the more recent one, since it revolved around the 1st seven volumes of the manga, and it wasn't as long

And about the Bakugan situation, they did the same thing with Beyblade, it'll go out of style quickly like every other generic series

I actually understood the basic rules for Yu-Gi-Oh! by just watching the series for a few years. They basically explained the rules in the early episodes in season one, even though that season didn't really have the right rules for summoning monsters. Anyway, I didn't get into the video games, the only means that I play the card game, until last spring. As for Bakugan, most people, including myself, couldn't really understand how the heck to play the game.

At least with Yu-Gi-Oh!, despite the lack of rules in season one, the first episode did give you at least a decent idea of how the game was played. It takes the rules for Bakugan a while longer to sink in and I still find it confusing at times.

As for the first Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, I actually wasn't impressed with it. I thought the first few episodes were interesting since it was something new. But by the time they were about half-way through the series, I was actually growing tired of how Yami Yugi's other self would defeat the villian of the week in that week's game. It didn't help that they gave Mio a main character role, despite the fact that she was there for only a couple of chapters, pretty much only to give Honda a comedy relief gag and the fact that they were focused on different games didn't really grap me either. It was like they focused on even the most simple games. While I haven't read all seven volumes, and I really should really all of the volumes one of these days, I thought what I read from the first two or three volumes of the manga was done much better than the first anime series.

Neither because they're both ridiculous and feeble attempts to brainwash kiRAB and steal their money.

However if I had to choose one, Yu-Gi-Oh since at least that show's fun to laugh at. Especially in the dub with Dan Green's ridiculous overacting and the famous shadow realm and finger pointing of doom edits. Oh and it also led to the creation of the Abridged craze.
