Bafta Nominations

I found a leak, hidden away in the Times website, of the likely Bafta film nominations to be announced on Friday. The votes from the second round of the process (which produces the nominations) were counted this morning, so I assume it is accurate.

Casino Royale - 14 nominations
The Queen - 14
Little Miss Sunshine - 12
Volver - 10
Dreamgirls - 10, but not incl in best film category
Devil Wears Prada - 9 incl best film
The History Boys - 5
 
I found out these are the number of nominations at the end of the first round of voting (the long list) and not the second (short list). The Times printed them in error. So it is likely that the movies with a large number of 'nominations' above will have significantly fewer tomorrow.
 
Excellent news that Daniel Craig has become the first 007 to be nominated for best actor. And casino Royale has nine nominations. I hope Daniel wins. And Helen Mirren should win best actress for The Queen.
 
I'd like to see Leslie Philips win best supporting actor & would love DC to win Best Actor but I think he might get pipped at the post by Forest Whitaker
