Baffles in 84 honda magna?

here we go again,Another kid who needs noise! Well if you insist all you need to do is get a long [really long] drill bit and drill em out. However then your going to have to re jet your carbs because this will cause a lean condition/[lean means heat/no good!] If ya gotta have some noise buy a set of baffles to replace what you drill out but cut them in half before you install them. This way you will still have backpressure and no lean condition. One of my friends put a v 65 magna motor in a golf cart and just used drag pipes.Sounded like a formula one race car!

The Magna is a V4. It's not like a V-twin in lots of ways. It's never going to sound like a V-twin. You could change the mufflers on it but if it was louder you still wouldn't like the sound it made.

It's a wonderful engine though. Very refined and smooth, wide power band, relaxed cruising. A friend of mine has an old Magna and though I'm not a cruiser person myself I think the engine is the best thing about it. I bought an ST1100 just because I loved the V4 so much.
