Okay

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus se

About a month ago i went to Tire Kingdom and Got four new tires and an "oil Change"

everything ended up being like 400 bucks

well the other day i was driving to my friends house and i noticed a ticking noise coming from the car when it was about to shift

i started paying more attention to it on the drive to my friends and i noticed it ticks when i accelerate and gets louder as the RPMs get higher!!

when i got to my friends house we checked my Oil and it was bone dry...

My friend knows a little about cars and he said that it might be a "rod"??

i have no clue what that is...

well we took his car to get me three courts of oil and i cranked the car up..

it didnt tick while i was just in park but when i drive it still does it and its loud

okay so i have a few questions

Tire Kingdom screwed me over big time and just emptied my oil and never filled it back up..
because i know for a fact that im not leaking oil..

Can i take my car to them and tell them to fix it???

what is the problem with the car??? could it be the rods??
and how do i fix this is they wont fix it for me...

i wouild like them to pay for damages to my car or Fix it themselves

my main question is
WHAT DO I DO???

thank you!

they would of been responsible had you confronted them that day.now they might still be responsible but you are going to have to get a lawyer.I myself would call them and give them the story ,but they are going to want to know why you didnt contact them when it happened. So do I.Anywhay i hope this helps.
GOOD LUCK

whew, zounds like you might have a problem.
1. Check with your states attorney generals office, in my state they are in charge of consumer fraud/protection. You might need help pursuing this if the place was at fault for your problems.
2. if the noise is a ticking instead of a louder clunking maybe its just a valve lash adjuster not pumped up. Either driving it some more will fix this or NOT,
3. try adding some marvel mystery oil to your crankcase, anywhere from 1/2 quart to 1 quart. This can help sometimes.
4 if your Dodge has the 2.7 v6 you might have other problems if it was mostly without oil and you drove it.
Good luck

HI
