Bad Show, Good Episode?

Obviously, the reverse of the old thread.
Name shows that were regulary either bad, average, just basic filler, but then there's at least one or two episodes that, if you just happend to see those first, you would've guessed the show was as great as that one episode. Basically, bad/average shows that suddenly have one great, stand-out epside.
I'll edit this post once I remember an example. :o

There's this one show from The Emperor's New School that I thought was pretty good. It's the one where they set up a musical and get this famous singer name Brock for the play. I thought that songs were pretty catchy and hearing duet between Yzma and Brock was nice too.

I hate The Clone Wars (CGI, not the awesome one filled with shorts) but the episode with the clone troopers stranded in an asteroid field trying to survive. It was emotional and great.

I like the episode of Danny Phantom "My Brother's Keeper". It's definitely a major turning point in the series (Jazz secretly finds out Danny is a ghost) and it definitely had one of the more evil villains in the show.

The only episodes of Megas XLR I truly enjoyed were the pilot and the finale.

Everything else is middle of the pack at best.

I don't like Tiny Toon Adventures anymore, but the episodes with They Might be Giants and the one where the Looney Tunes cast shows them "cartoon physics" still make me laugh.

X-Men Evolution (Grim Reminder, Operation: Rebirth, X23, and Target X): I'm a huge Wolverine fan and I hated how weak and wimpy Wolvie was in this series this had to be the most tame version of Wolverine ever I mean he got kicked in the shin by an evil Kitty and just sat down the inter episode ugh. But his centered episodes were deacent enough and also introduced X-23. Also the captain America episode also expanded beyond the X-Men something that wwas starting to annoy me.

Batman: Barve and the Bold (Deep Cover for Batman!" and "Game Over for Owlman!) Not a big fan of this show but I did like this episode mostly because of the Joker this version didn't feel like a pale imatation of the B:TAS version he was diffrent and it worked.

Spider-Man Unlimited (One is the Loneliest Number): This is the ony time the show ever felt like a Spider-man show since it actually delt with a plot that was used int he comics Eddie struggle against Venom. Also Pete wore the Black costume again for alittle while.

Ah... another awesome perpetual thread. We gotta sticky this one!

Digimon Tamers ("Home Again, Tetsuya Returns") Normally don't dig the blabby, hyperactively edited Digimon series. This episode was ligitimately creepy, with an awesome Twilight Zone-ish concept: What if you looked in a mirror, and didn't recognize yourself? What if you went to your house, and saw yourself?

Just off the top of my head:

He-Man 1980s: "The Problem With Power." A surprisingly emotional episode, even with the number of jumps the producers had to jump through to get it to air. (As in, He-Man was originally going to kill someone by accident. An innocent person, at that.) Even in its released form, it's by far the best episode of an otherwise "meh" to "please make it end" cartoon.

Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Actually a couple from the last season. "The Golden Fleas" was two parts, allowing gags to develop and breathe for once. "Sitcomi Yumi" was a pretty decent mix of good references and a hilarious ending. "Sound Off" had some decent fourth wall jokes, including the single funniest gag in the series. (The entire production team falls asleep at their desks, including one guy just sprawled across the floor.) "It's Alive!" actually made good use of Frankenstein, and utilized the show's most annoying character well. Granted, the series itself was a massive pile of suck for the most part, but there were still a few microscopic beams of light mixed in.

Incredible Hulk, Marvel Super Heroes Version: The three episodes with the Leader using the Hulk to steal a device from the Watcher. (At seven minutes each, it technically added up to one episode.) Even with the...very limited animation the series was known for, the episode was a blast to watch. The voice acting was good for once, the fight scene was actually exciting rather than tedious, and the ending was downright perfect. (This was made even better when I found the comic issue it was based on...and found it to be a very faithful adaptation.)

That's all I can think of at the moment.

My feelings exactly, though I thought Golden Fleas, It's Alive and Sound Off were just missed potential (missed potential IS more interesting than the rest of the filler the show had, though). Sound Off could've been good, but other than a few inspired gags here and there, it's just typical execution. With the other two, I don't know, I just can't stand that Harmony character (she has NO personality whatsoever beyond being an unfunny running gag). Sitcomi-Yumi was just okay (I never cared for the idea of basing an entire idea of an episode around just references). I'd put Time Off as one of the better ones, if only because it's one of the very few episodes that has a plot that hasn't been done to death a million times already (and a hilarious ending). And maybe Super Zeroes, as I think the superhero (forgot his name) had some potential ("I pass the salt to you at lightning speed! NININININI......"). MAYBE being the keyword.
Though, as one can tell by my avatar and all, I still like this show a lot... It's a decent time killer. And Yumi's quite easy on the eyes. Why that motivated me to own the whole series is beyond me, though.

Pokemon "Triple Fighting Chance": I normally avoid Pokemon like the plague, but this episode featured a fight between Buizel and Lucario that was as good as any anime fight that I'd seen.

I only saw it because my son was watching it.

My Gym Partner's a Monkey: I enjoyed the episode/Special "Animal School Musical" which did a decent job poking fun at High School musical. It was pretty funny for a show that generally wasn't.

That reminded me of the recent He-Man series. I wasn't too impressed by it. But there was one eppisode--I don't even remember which one--that had a pretty cool ending. Skeletor was doing his usualy leaving-in-defeat bit, but then he looked back, saw both He-Man and the King glaring at him, so in anger he charged back and attacked them both. I just really liked that moment.
