Bad nerves, sick in the morning for 20 years

I hope someone can help me. For the last 20 years, I have developed very bad nerves, and social anxiety. However, if I wake up prior to a certain time in the morning (about 9am) I feel quite sick. If I get too excited (about Christmas, vacations, or even day trips or parties) I vomit uncontrolably. I am currently on paxil for the last year now, and it has not been helping with the mornings, or anything that I am excited to do like fishing, or going to a cottage. I don't know if it some sort of defficiency. My Dr. has sent me to a therapist, and given me prescriptions for stomach acid even though my G.I. did not reveal a surplus of it. This problem is seriously holding back my life, and the life of my son (who is a year old). I have had to cancel special events and even come home early from week long vacations.
Someone please help me, thank you so much

Welcome to the boards! Boy can I relate to you! I have this kind of problem too. Only I don't have the vomitting.I have diarrea with mine. I am so stressed out right now during the holidays. Its horrible, I am ready to take the xanax that I carry around but never use. I have a phobia of medicines too. I know, it's weird but I am afraid of meds. One thing to consider is your hormones may be lowest upon waking. They drop in the night. At least for me. I have been tested. And I am prone to panic attacks, hot flashes and almost a hypoglycemic feeling in the morning for a few hours until my hormones begin to level out again. You may want to check those out. I don't know what your age is, but I am 45 and I am taking biodentical hormones now. I have progesterone and testosterone made for me. It has really been helping. But you may be way to young for that.

Just know you aren't alone and maybe you can get some xanax to take the edge off. Hang in there sweetie!

It may or may not be simple to control your problem. Try slow deep breathing and very slow exhale and see if it helps to calm your nervous system. It works for me.

It does take time to get in the habit of deep breathing and slow exhaling. Well worth your time to give it a try. Do it frequently.

I used deep breathing and slow exhale to control anxiety prior to recent surgery (just before going to operating room) and it worked, wiped away the sudden anxiety. Does take concentration.
