I am a teacher in my mid twenties and have the summers off. During my summer vacations I like to spend my time backpacking in foreign countries. The past two summers I have spent in Asia, first in Thailand, then in Hong Kong and Vietnam. Where would you suggest backpacking if I am looking for a place with nice scenery, culture and a fun nightlife. P.S. both of these backpacking trips have been solo. I am thinking the Philippines, indonesia, cambodia, laos or maybe south america. Any advice?
