so im planning on hiking the appalachian trail and after seeing the prices of AMTRAk im LIKE WHOA!! 130 bucks to get from PA to GA and 230 to get from PA to California! WOW.. is this a good idea to just take my hiking backpack Osprey kestrel 68 pack it with cloths a tent basic survival things like on the appalachian trail and just live like outside sometiems and it cheap motels.. and just travel the USA? im in college thinking about doing this after i get my credits done at the community college and get ready to transfer to a university... I want to see all the natural wonders.. yellow stone, grand canyon, miami beach, yosemite, oregan, and a few other places..
dude? wtf? i plan on hiking 2175 miles on the appalachian trail next year... i want to then travel via amtrack cuz the next big hike i will do is the pacific crest..
