Backgrounds

I have the SE W580i; I was wondering how I can put in animated or still backgrounds (or where to download these and put them in) for my phone, for various pages such as startup, setup screen, main screen, calling screen, etc? I read the tutorial on Lasyk "My Theme Creator" in the sticky thread, however the program does not work (well), being used to Photoshop CS2 and all. I'm new to theme/background-creating so please let me know on other information as well such as file format needed to insert into phone, where to place in phone, etc. =)

I'm not too good on the whole theming subject, but I can tell you that once the theme is created, it will need to bare the '.thm' extension for the phone to be able to read it. You will need to place it in the 'Themes' folder on your phone directory via USB or Bluetooth. only the image you set for the standby screen can be an animated one, the rest will have to be stills.

If you wanted to make the images yourself, you could create the image in Photoshop (the dimensions will have to be 240x320 I believe) and then import the images into the theme creator. I'm not absolutely sure what formats the W580i accepts, so to play safe, I'd limit your formats to just JPEG and GIF.

Not sure if this'll help you much, but hopefully I've mentioned something useful ;)
