I am 31 years old (male) and had done my back in big time.
Few years ago I had sciatica, eventually it got 90% better after physio, decided not to go ahead with surgery even although I was offered this through my private medical insurance.
I have always had a twinge in my back at the bottom. Some days it feels like you are lifting a heavy object when you are not ie it feels strained at the bottom.
Anyway, last Fri i was bending down to pick something up of the floor and at the same time i twisted to the right. Straight away i knew that something had happened as the pain when straightening up was horrendeous.
I am now experiencing alot of pain at the bottom of my back, its OK when I am in the sitting position at my desk at work however when I stand up its total agony, I can not straighten out for several minutes and the pain is awful. Also, if i go down stairs its agony and if I move position when in bed its sore as well. In fact its sore all of time but thats the main ones I can think of.
I am not sure if I am doing my back more harm than good by coming to work as I note that various specialists recommend not lying about but when I wake up in the morning my back feels not as bad as if it has been rested and feels better for it.
As I have an office job I am up and down all of the time and no sooner when i get in to work my back is it sore again and gives me problems all day.
Unfortunately, I can not remeraber exactly why I was going to have surgery before as its a few year ago. I think it was for a ruptured disc.
At the moment I am also experiencing a tingling sensation in my right leg and weakness in the ankle area.
Has anybody else experienced pain of this nature??
