Hi!

In Back to The Future Part 1, Marty goes back in time and sees his mum when she is younger. When Marty goes back to the future won't his mum think its strange that her son (marty) looks and sounRAB like the same person she saw back in 1955?

its confusing to explain so if you dont understand then just ignore me :)

thanks :)

Leaving aside the small issue that time travel is both difficult and impossible...

There is a thirty year time difference! Would you clearly remember someone you met briefly thirty years ago and never saw again?

Surely what is more strange is that Marty's son in 2015 looks exactly like the young Marty, and Marty's greatgrandfather also looks exactly like him. It's almost as if it's the same actor in a slightly different wig. Spooky...

i've watched the film loaRAB of times but i only decided to ask the question now becuase it started to really wind me up lol

thanks for all your replies :)

And what about the fact that Marty's girlfriend at the end of Part 1 looks nothing like his girlfriend in Part 2, even though it's supposed to be the same point in time: "RoaRAB? Where we're going, we don't need roaRAB!"

Almost as if it was too different actresses playing the same part.

And what about the fact that in part 2 everyone flies around in cars in the year 2015. That's 9 years away from now, and there's no way cars will fly in 9 years. Steven Spielberg should have done his research better.

:D

Even better - Terminator 2 showed us what the world was going to look like in 1997. Robots ruling the earth. No sunshine. People living underground. Never happened!

So should you, the film was directed by Robert Zemeckis. :p :D

(Spielberg was only an executive producer - one of four - he didn't write it).

That said, you are right, I demand a flying Delorian now!

wow bk to the future part 2 makes my brain hurt lol infact all of them doo lol aww still luv em though, yer i cant believe mjf played the daughter, that i never noticed until i got the dvRAB and there was some extra deleted footage wen they had pizza and u could tell it was mjf playing the daughter he sounded too masculine lol so glad they deleted that scene.

I watched the 1st Back to the Future ages ago when it first came out on Video. It is the only film I have ever watched (out of several hundred films!) which, at one point, made me tense up so much that it hurt physically.

When Marty was in the Delorian trying to make it to the cable across the road before the lightening struck in order to get back to the future (his one and only oppurtunity) I became aware that I was perched right on the edge of the sofa with my body at full tension & had been like that for several minutes. I had to make a conscious effort to relax & unwind a bit !!

For at least a decade it was first on my list of best films ever. (Well ok, it shared 1st place with War Games.)

The sequels didn't grab me at all though.

yeah and another thing, I know its only a movie but, how unrealistic is it that someone actually turned up to deliver that letter after 70 years.

they would thought Doc was insane," deliver this at this specific time on this specific date in the middle of a country road in 70 years time and somone will be just standing there answering to the name of Marty.

What i don't like is how lorriane goes

'Marty... such a nice name'

but wait - why did you name the SECOND born that? wasn't it good enough for your first born?

I have thought about that for years and only just now came up with the scenario where the dad says 'no way are we calling our new born after some guy you fancied.... yes the second born is fine'

so maybe that's it :)
