'Back To The Future' writer rules out sequel

I completely disagree with you.

The original trilogy is fantastic and should be left well alone. Doing another film without the original stars would just cheapen the whole thing. I'm glad Bob Gale has ruled out writing a sequel, and I suspect Robert Zemeckis feels the same way about it.

Im kind of thinking the same about Jurassic Park IV.
I loved the first two, but the 3rd wasnt what it could of been, and im wondering if a 4th would really be the nail in the coffin.

The same im sure would of happened to Back to the Future.

I am delighted guys and gals. To be perfectly honest I think there have been far too many sequels to classic movies from the 80s that we all grew up watching at the time and I have to say I have been mostly disappointed by a lot of them, to the point where I refuse to watch such subsequent releases now. I have no major desire to watch Indy 4, despite being a fan of the trilogy and to a lesser extent the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Part of the magic I think with a lot of these films is that they were of the time and it is the magic of nostalgia that I and I know a lot of others continue to watch them for.

As has been said, it would not be any credit to have another Back to the future film without the original cast.

LEAVE IT ALONE!

No, no no no no no! NO!

Enough of these remakes, sequels to sequels and prequels to backstories that none of us really care about. BTTF were fantastic films, let them be what they are. COME UP WITH NEW F**KING IDEAS....... PLEEEEEEEEEASE!

That's the point. Are enough people coming up with enough new ideas? Probably not judging by the amount of re-makes we see.

Leave Back to the Future where it belongs as an Eighties Classic, which they should have done with Escape from New York.

Yeah leave it alone is what I say! It wouldn't be dooable without Chris and Micheal and both of them have aged alot and Micheal especially may struggle. It's defo best left alone
