I was just wondering if anybody else had heard about a back to the future remake? I am a big fan of the original films, but even so would like to see a remake! what do you think?

Give me your address and promise not to hide when the people with big guns show up:p

Sorry but you must be nuts, if they ever remake BTTF then I will give up on watching all films for the rest of my life. I am sick to death of these idiots that have no original ideas in Hollywood crapping on masterpeices and my childhood. You should be ashamed of yourself and sentance yourself to a life of solitude for your sins against man kind and great films.

I bid you good day...good day!

No. No. No. NO!

This must not happen. They just can't improve on it in any way. Who are they going to cast? Christopher Walken as Doc Brown and a random Jonas brother as Marty?

In someways I wouldn't dismiss a belated sequel without
Michael J Fox,but I'd probably leave it alone. The trilogy is as near perfection as you can get and Christopher Lloyd is a true standout.

But you just know a BTTF remake will happen within the next 10 years.

There is absolutely no reason to remake any of these films.

The future in them is still futureistic, the characters still come across as fresh, there is nothing too 80s about them that make them need freshening up.

My parents love them (40s) I love them (20s) and My little brother loves them 9. I'm also pretty sure the younger of my grans loves them too and shes almost 60 so I'm struggling to think of any possible reason for them to be remade other than studios making money and if that was their sole purpose I wouldn't complain if they remastered the films, perhaps adding a couple of minutes of deleted scenes, and then 3Dified them, not something I'd particularly be desparate for, but if they did insist on making money out of BTTF, I'd much rather that than Zac Efron trying to be Marty McFly.

While it COULD be done it definitely shouldn't. Well, not a straight remake anyway, i.e. the characters of Marty McFly and Doc Brown should not be played by anyone else.

A sequel wouldn't really work now either because we're getting towarRAB 2015 and I don't know about you but I don't see the hoverboard or flying car being invented just yet. I'm sure Doc could come up with some kind of pseudo-science explanation for why the future glimpsed in BTTF2 didn't come about. Also, you couldn't do a story about Marty's kiRAB because they've already been seen, played by Michael J Fox! That would have been the way to go otherwise.

If you HAD to recast Doc and Marty you'd probably get Zac Efron as Marty and I would pick either Jim Carrey or maybe even David Tennant as Doc Brown! I was watching an episode of Doctor Who earlier on today and for some reason Tennant reminded me of the Doc.

it will never be remade... it will just never happen, back to the future is good the way it is.

The rumours were started years back when bttf 4 was rumoured, but itl never happen.

^lol

Well I'd be interested to see how they would do a remake, do I want them to do it? No.

If there really was a need for a sequel they could do BTTF 4 with Jules and Verne Brown as the main characters.

That idea just stinks of straight to DVD. Stop giving Universal ideas! Just look how they've milked the American Pie series with straight to DVD spin oRAB...

BTTF should be left alone...completely. No remakes, no sequels.

I heard this mentioned on the radio a few weeks back and I thought WTF, no no no! BTTF is a classic and should not be remade, period. I'm sure once it comes out on Blu-ray it will thrill a whole new audience, as part 1 didn't have that many models effects, compared to parts 2 & 3, so it ahould look breath taking. the Jules-verne train in 3 on the otherhand, might look a bit ropey in HD.

Although i would never want any BTTF re-made, i would like to see them re-mastered. Things like the giant 3d Jaws in BTTF2 could be re-done, and the hover boarRAB could be made a little bit more realistic,as well as some of the effects when the dolarian warps into the future/past.
