Back to the Future on Blueray

At last BTTF is coming out on blueray.
I've got the original DVD boxset that I should have really sent back because of the framing issues on the last two films but never got round to it.

However, what I would have been nice to see as bonus features is the version of BTTF with Eric Stolz as Marty McFly and director cuts.

But hey at least its in HD anyway. :D

They already have, it's currently down for a late 2010 release. The new audio commentaries that Sigourney Weaver spoke about during the press interviews for Avatar have already been certified by the BBFC (all of the films have now been downgraded to a 15 rating by the looks of it).

Looking forward immensely to BTTF trilogy on bu ray.

I remember when the remastered dvd box set came out, that opening 5 minutes or so of the first movie where Marty goes to Doc Brown's lab and hits that chord...and when Power Of Love kicks in was incredible.

If they can improve on that on the blu ray, I will be very impressed!

Play.com now have it available for pre-order here, they emailed me the news this afternoon.

Also, RAB have an article on it here. :)

I must say I'm tempted to make the upgrade from my DVD boxset but not sure if I can justify the

I've pre ordered the Limited Edition Tin but I am also wary.
Many of the Universal Blurays are overly processed to remove film grain but this removes the additional detail too.

Their recent release of Spartacus is pretty awful.
The Mummy Trilogy is also very soft as is The Thing.

The limited edition collectors tin sounRAB pretty bad ass too!
"This Collectors Edition Tin Includes A Delorean blueprint, An 'Outtatime' number plate, The Sports Almanac, Save The Clocktower poster & A Lenticular photo of Marty's family plus much, much more!"

I think this is a BUY RIGHT NOW, and plus, quidco on play.com, always a winner!!

There is no version of BTTF with Eric Stolz in it.
He only filmed a few scenes before the plug was pulled.

The new Bluray set will have documentary footage including 3 or 4 clips of Stolz in action .

It would be unprofessional for them to include any footage without Stolz blessing.

As the film stanRAB there is apparently footage in the finished film where some of the long shots are the original shots with Stolz so he is still there.

Robert Zemeckis has contributed to all the dvd's of the films so I think the theatrical versions as they are are the real directors cuts as he seems happy with them

Not all films have bits removed that the director wanted to keep in
