Back To The Future 4

Who here would like a number 4?

It seems to be the fad these days to release a sequel after x amount of years has passed, lol.

They did it with Terminator 3, Rocky 6 & Indiana Jones are being made, etc.

I know that MJFox is normally just used for voice over these days, like Stuart Little, but I guess they could do another one.

The DVD was very successful & is still selling lots, be nice to have a 4, possibly see how the Doc & his new family are doing.

I know we can all dream.

I just think it should be left alone. Hollywood when they find a good thing, they milk it till there is nothing left and then continue to try and milk it for more. They run it into the ground when they stumble upon a winner. Rocky 6 and a possible Rambo 4 are examples. The Rocky series should have finished in Rocky 4. But, if you wish for a BTTF pt4 then that's fine pal, I dont mind. ;)

I would like a bttf 4 but it would be best if there wasn't. Usually when they sequel an old film it turns out badly and this would totally ruin the first few films good reputations.

I dont think Michael J Fox acts on screen anymore because of his Parkinsons :( such a shame, he was a great actor! he quit the sitcom Spin City a couple of years ago after it started affecting his acting...
I love the movies (I have the DVD boxset lol) but I dont know it wouldnt be the same without him and its been so long since the last movie... I always wanted to see another movie though!
btw did you know they made a cartoon series based on the films in the early 90s? I dont think they ever showed it here in the UK but I read about it on a website (retrojunk com I think)

Yes they did do a cartoon series, I too didn't see it neither. Maybe one of our UK broadcasters should acquire it lol.

Just imagine what could be done today with the CGI we have today, compare to 20 years ago.

There was rumour once a few years ago about doing a sequel, but it was later axed, not sure why tho'.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who would like to see a 4 lol.

I doubt it would ever be made tho.

Leave well alone, thanks. Pretty much a perfect trilogy, just as the original Star Wars and Indiana Jones were perfect trilogies.

These were products of their time and and an unwanted and unnecessary sequel will only sully memories of the original classics. I mean, who is really calling for a BBT4 or Indy 4 - except for Hollywood bosses so bereft of ideas they continue to plunder films from yesteryear. In a similar vein, Rocky 6(!) is also just plain ridiculous - it will make money / be a No1 box office smash but that's usually down to the curiousity factor.

And crucially, if Michael J Fox isn't well enough to partake in any sequel, BTT4 should never, ever see the light of day. Any fans that get nostalgic for the adventures of Marty & co, just dig out your DVRAB and enjoy yourselves!!

MJF hasn't given up on-screen performing entirely. There was his star turn on Scrubs a year or two ago. While you could tell he was not a well man, he still did pretty well. Showed he still has the magic.

I would be a major mistake. MJF certainly isn;t up to it. Th eonly way I can see it happening is with a totally new cast - maybe with MJF doing a cameo. But if that was to happen my first question would be - why? lets face it all the scaenarios have been done so it would only be a repeat of before. This was the same mistake with T3 - once you've had bad Arnie (T1) and good Arnie (T2) what else can you do.

he wasn't the major baddy, just a teenage punk who turned into marty's naughty colleague in the future. he enRAB up getting him fired. he was called needles. he wasn't in part 3.

They could do another one - even though they ended it with "The End", they have a time machine so anything can happen.

But they're brilliant films, should leave them as they are I think. A fourth might just end up being stupid.

Rumoured & Happening...

Rocky 6...
Indy 4...
Die Hard 4...
Ghostbusters 3...
and now Back To The Future 4....

 Stop It! Enough already, most of the leaRAB in these movies are pushing or are already 60 (...Michael J Fox being in his 40's) and the magic would be lost, in my view...

It clearly shows that Hollywood cannot come up with anything new and decent and resorts of squeezing every last penny they can from old franchises.

I didn't have a problem with Terminator 3, I liked it and thought it complimented the series and the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy was always going to be made, I don't consider them an opportunity to gain as much money as possible for the Star Wars franchise...whether you enjoyed them or not is up to you and your expectations. I loved all three.

As far as the proposed movies above, they should have been made at the time when it was still fresh and there was still an interest in them and not now for nostalgia purposes and (...in my view) a money grabbing opportunity.

Movies like Sahara & National Treasure showed that Hollywood can still do those movies and make them fresh, with new actors and new storylines...they could make those into a Trilogy and start a new franchise.
Like they have with Pirates Of The Caribbean...imagine in 20 years time we start hearing rumours of Pirates 4 with a 60-odd Johnny Depp?

I say leave it alone.

Back to the future 1 ,2 and 3 were all FANTASTIC my all time fav movie trilogy i love them films to bits but i say no to a part 4, Micheal J fox could not be the main role and it would not be the same.
I say leave them how they are a classic trilogy. Id rather they bring out the footage of Eric Stoltz paying marty mcfly as they did most of part 1 with him before getting Micheal j Fox. ;)
