Maybe if you try a crunch or put something in the small of your back. When I used to do situp I alway hurt my neck and was told I was not doing them correct. Or try with your knees up on something. Good Luck:jester:

I really thing the first part of your question is incorrect. I have about the same sized arms and chest. But I also did leg work as I think its better to do a full body workout than just the top half.
But in saying that I have a back problem to and this stopped a lot of leg workouts. But with my back supported I could do my arms and chest.
I think if you can get to a pool and do walking up and down the pool it will be a low impact workout for your legs and you will be able to build them up to a point where you might be able to do a real leg workout that will build leg muscles.
I think if you and do your midrift exercises this will help your back and give you a little more strenght to help you through.
I have stopped workout now for well over a couple of years now and miss them. But as you know with a bad back this is all one thing, and you find that you use your arms more to pick things up rather than using your legs to do the work as it hurts your back. Both you and me need to find what is inbetween to get us through.
I don't know what it is as I would be doing it and I would tell you. So all the best mate.
