Don't know if this went through or not...it's my 1st in a forum. My name is Michelle, I had major back surgery 2yrs ago May 23rd...I'm still suffering pain and was told by a few doctors that I will ALWAYS have a base pain. I have 6 screws;a fusion and a disc replacement...all due to having 2 slipped vertebrae and a bad disc. I am always having some sort of pain daily...and it doesn't seem like there is much anyone can do except to medicate me with pain pills, which totally messes with the body causing weight gain (I've gained 20 lbs in 1yr) to name just one...which is another thing bad for your back. Anyone have any suggestions. Thx

Michelle, has anyone mentioned the stim implant to you? You might want to do some research on this and see if it is an option for you.

You might also venture over to the pain mgmt board there are several spinneys who chat on that board who are dealing with acceptance of chronic pain. Good luck and welcome to the board!

Thanks so much for the advice!! After having to be home another day because of pain... I will look into and also check the pain management board.
