You must make an effort to get up at least once per hour for a 5-10 span and stretch out. Even if that means walking up the hallway, viist the washroom, get a drink of water, move file from here to there. Get up and move. Also you should be active and exercising properly followed by proper nutrition. Being active and exercising during your non-work time is very important and carries over when your body is stationary.
Also check out your workstation. Is the chair at the proper height, keyboard, is the computer screen at the right height and angle, etc. This could also be contributing to your discomfort.
The benefit is two-fold.
If your pain continues and you do not see improvement, then see your GP to get started on what may be causing outside of just sitting.
