hi,
I am suffering from back pain since my collge days. It started slowly. But now I am working in IT company . And day long schedule sitting on the chair make me so helpless at the end of day. So if you have any advice please suggest me.

I would go to your boss and ask him if there is any possible way for you to get a more comfortable chair to sit in. But first tell him what is going on though. I know that there are chair out there now that help.
And I would also ask if you could get up and go for a walk about every 10 minutes around the office and if its small maybe a couple of laps around it.
As it becomes worse, which I hope it doesn't you will need to sit, stand and walk about more often. I hope this doesn't happen to you.
And while sitting in your chair try to pull in your belly muscles as this will help strenghten your belly which in turn will help your back.

What kind of computer do you use? I have a plastic crate that I keep by my desk so if I get too sore during my computer time, I can put my laptop on the crate on the desk so I can stand up and shift my weight back and forth from foot to foot. Obviously, this won't work if you aren't using a laptop. :D I'm doing training for a work-from-home job so I can work for 2-3 hours a day with breaks in between. But the training is 4 hours a day, with only a 15 minute break. For me, it's brutal! For a lot of the time, though, I'm just listening to the instructor, so I can stand up and move around a bit. I keep my heating pad in the chair so I can sit forward with my feet tucked under the chair for a while, which takes stress off the lower back, and then sit back on the heat for a while. For me, it's a game of constantly changing position. And as soon as the training's done, I go lie down. Is there anyplace at your work where you could lie down during a break?

Been there, done that. Hope you can find some viable solutions.

Emily
