Im a receptionist, so I sit for 8 hours a day. Lately my back has been hurting more than usual, Im sure it has to do with my posture but I find it very difficult to remeraber to sit up straight all day. Does anyone know of anything that I could do or sit on or anything to help with my back pain? On another note, I have lower back pain if I stand for too long, such as when I take a shower, then when I sit down (and not untill I sit down) my lower back hurts extremely bad and I just have to slowly bend my back and bend over and it slowly eases out the pain... what could that be?

Sitting is bad for the back; in my case, standing in the same place for more than a few minutes causes pain in my back ( I had a fusion from L! through S1) a year ago.
Immediately after the surgery my back felt wonderful but now is slowing getting more painful. I'm not sure I want to go to the Dr. and go through testing all over again, but I may not have any choice.

Please go to a doctor and get checked out; don't wait until you're nearly 70 like I did. In the meantime at least get up frequently if possible and do any kind of movements you can while sitting--turning etc.
