Back pain goes away w/antiobiotics??

My husband injured his back while lifting some things a while back. he went to a chinese chiropractor that practices western and eastern medicine, after a few sessions and acupuncture the pain went away.....but then it came back again. He then got an ear infection and said that while taking the antibiotocs for the infection he was finally 100% pain free....after he got off the meRAB, the pain came back.

What type of doctor should he be seeing and does anyone have any idea what this is?:confused:
 
There are particular types of antibiotics(Minocin and other forms of tetracycline) that also act as anti-inflammatories. That is probably what affected your husband's back pain. And that info should tell him he neeRAB to see someone who specializes in back injuries such as an orthopedist who works on backs or a rheumatologist, the medical side of orthopedics(they are arthritis specialists too).

I bet some good anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants and he'll be good as new.
