I tried to lift my aunt from her wheel chair to my car seat. I heard a noise in my back like someone cracking their knuckles and the pain became horendous. It was worse at night when trying to sleep. I went to the doctor and she gave me pain pills I took and it helped. Now I seem to always have this terrible pain that worsens until I take some tylonol or something. Has anyone ever had this happen and if so what did you do to fix the problem. My doctor did have xrays done but nothing was bad. I just know if I lean on a desk or table and raise up the pain is excrusiating even if for a few minutes. I have never gone to a chiropracter. Does anyone think that would help.
Thanks for all that answer this for me. I have never had back problems before this happened.

Kerry, PLZ don't go to a chiropractor. I'd go back to the Dr. and let them know you're still having problems. They should at least recommend physically therapy and then an MRI. If you have a disc problem it won't show up on an xray. (only bones/hard tissue) You didn't say whether you're seeing a PCP or specialist? You may want to consider a Pain Management specialist/neuro/ortho type Dr. Good luck and I hope this helps. BTW, when its bothering you try ice for about 20 min and see if that helps, being sure to use a towel around the ice. CJ

Thanks for you help. I have never in my life been to a chiropractor but if that would help I would of till I heard from you. You sound like you been that route before. Thanks I will take your advice.
