Perhaps an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon. However many of those will want you to already have had a recent CT and/or MRI as part of their evaluation. It doesn't necessarily mean you need surgery, OSS and NS are also very keyed in to non surgical treatment options, so don't worry about their titles.

I HAVE BAD BACK PROBLEMS. And I truley have the same sort of problem. I get terrible gas. And it feels like it is coming from my left side around to the back and like a bubble forms in my back.(gas) And pressure also. I am thinking my spine is pressing on an organ inside. But I don't know for sure which one. I have had spinal fusion on my lower back. I now have scoliosis because of the fusion. So my spine is pretty bad. I hate the gas and keep telling my husband I THINK ITS CAUSED FROM MY BACK. Hope you find out something.

Is the stiffness worse right along the spine? If so it is your paraspinal muscles that are to blame. I have the same problem when I go to massage therapist he says it feels like rebar in the muscles they are so tight. I see a chiropractor after the massage therapist as well as an orthopedic doctor. They did trigger point injections because often one or two spots are causing the entire side to tense up to protect the area the body sees as being injured. They help immensely also I take lyrica 100mg twice a day. This also helps as I can feel it when I forget to take it. Hope this information is helpful to you.
