My job requires me to sit all day, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with my back pain. I also have poor posture and have an extremely hard time remerabering to make myself sit up straight. A specific spot in my back began hurting a few days ago, and I just assumed I slept wrong and kinked a muscle because that happens quite often. However, last night the pain got so bad that I couldn't sleep and it hurt to breathe. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me such as a specific back support or brace that worked for you. My chair can't change it is a company required chair, so the only think I can think of would be a brace or some sort. I tried doing some research on back braces that force your shoulders back, but a lot of the reviews claimed that it hurt their armpits...

You didn't specify whether your back hurt in the upper area or lower, but I have problems in both. I use a lurabar roll to support my lower back when I sit, and I try to remeraber to roll my shoulders occasionally and to stretch at various intervals to relieve tension. It's staying in one position too long that causes pain. Hopefully you can get up and move around some to help with this.

It's my whole back, when I stand for a while it's my lower back that hurts, but my upper back also hurts a lot, more so when I sleep on it wrong, or at least I think that's why.. my upper back gets pretty tense because of my posture. My shoulders just go forward though, in order to sit straight i have to pysically hold them back requiring concious effort.
