back pain and under rib cage

hi..i have been suffering wit terrible back pain and its circulating around my upper stomach..like behind my rib cage..i have been on antibiotcs a few weeks ago as my breathing was bad and had a bad head cold..seem 2 got rid of that and now tis//the pain seems 2 be getting worse..any one any ideas what it cud be?

I can't diagnose you, but is the pain on your right side? I only ask because if it is, it could be your gallbladder. Gallbladder pain can be felt on the right side under the rib cage, but can also be felt in the back, sometimes it's only in the back. Or maybe, if you had a bad cold recently, perhaps you might have pneumonia? If I were you, I would definitely go see the doctor again and tell them all your symptoms.
