Back Pain After Heavy Lifting.

I pulled some heavy furniture. Really repenting now. I think I have hurt my spinal cord. I have a thin body and it appears that I have put a bit too much pressure on my discs. One of them is hurting when I put slight pressure on it with a finger. The pain is very slight but irritating.

I know the first thing most would say is to go to a doctor and get it checked. But, frankly for the time being I want to wait a little. I switched to spring mattress from the normal mattress too. This furniture pulling and spring mattress thing happeneed almost simultaneously. I have changed the spring mattress too.

Are there any excercises which can help me here. I am sitting, moving, walking, driving normally.

Sorry for the pain.... You need to rest your back.No heavy lifting or pulling. furninture moving is a no-no, but guess that you figured that out. You need to develop good core muscles. This is the basis for all good backs. And doing sit-us isn't the way to get them.

There was a question posted here just a week or so back about exercises for the back. If you search through someone gave some good resouces on exercises for stronger backs..

hello choclate nice to see your post.My name is judi and I am wondering if you did ligament damage that may explain your ability to continue most movement and driving activities?.
