Well I am so new to this site that this is my very first post. I am a 34 yr old female with 2 children (8yrs & 16 months). My first born was killed in a horrible accident in 1998 - which after his birth is when my story begins. I had lower back stiffness as a teenager in high school but after having my son my pain made it hard for me to stay in one position at night sleeping for very long.
So it has been 10 years. 8 yrs ago I had to quit sleeping in the bed because I ended up in the ER for shots to control my pain and found comfort in a recliner. 2 yrs ago I started having neck problems and a stiff right hip. My MRI shows 5 bulging discs (3 in my neck) and (2 in my lower back). The neurologists can't see why I am in so much agony. I was told most people have bulging discs - my PT tells me yes, but not this many.
I am so confused. I do weigh 210 lbs. and over the years my strength has got very bad. I get tired very easily, have many headaches and joint pain.
My symptoms are: pain in the lower back (chronic). Sleeping flat causes excrutiating pain that causes me to not be able to walk, sometimes the pain shoots down through my stiff hip.
Other than weight, any ideas from anyone? Does it sound as if my problem is muscle or something else? I have been told I do not have any nerve impengements.
Thanks
