Hi!
My first post. I need help figuring out what is being missed. I am currently having issues with recovering from 2 MVAs. I am a Male 43yo 5-9. The First MVA I was rearended by a Corabine (a piece of farm equipment) and did damage to my neck and back and 85% tear in right supraspinatus. SHoulder repair was good and tight but I still had issues with vision if I overdid. My face would droop on right side and pull down on the eye and mess up vision. Numerous MRIs came up with 5 bulged or herniated discs c1c2 c5c6 and three thoracic discs. Skull MRI showed no anuerysms or stroke. Drs couldn't figure it out. Returned to partial duty at work and was rearended a second time in Dec.08 . Thankfully not some bizarre accident but it messed me up pretty good. Now I have 6 bulged or herniated discs with relative narrowing of foramina. I also reinjured my shoulder, it is now separated. I have had problems swallowing since the accident and now I can see that my neck is lopsided when I swallow. Almost like my muscles are bulked up on th e left. The did a swallow test on me that was rather disappointing. The tech said they could see that the throat was constricted but not what is causing it. She had me tilt my head several different ways and if I lean my head to the right I can swallow cleanly. The only strataegy that has been given to me is to turn my head to the right to swallow. ( I feel like a stupid squirrel eating it food.) If I try to help my wife by cutting vegetable for 10 to 15 minutes, my neck swells up by about 1-2 inches. I would appreciate any brainstorming that you may have. I have not been released to work since the second accident. Other details that are relevant are: Burning in the trygeminal nerve on right side, EMG found radiculopathy off of c5, I cannot hold my head up for long perioRAB of time ( i usually sit with my head supported), I'm allergic to NSAIRAB so I cant take them to help with the immflammation. I can't sleep at night for very long, pain in neck and throat wakes me up.
