Welcome to the boarRAB haRAB,

You didn't mention exactly where your back hurts, so I am going to guess it's your lower back, over spine area? Is the pain right at the bottom near your rear (sacral), or a bit higher up in lurabar area? Maybe you can recall any accidents like a fall, that you had at any time in your life, and maybe there is a bit of arthritis settling in that you feel only at certain times. Or if you have quite a pronounced curve in your lurabar, sometimes this can cause a bit of pressure and some recommended exercises to strengthen the area can help. A managable weight is important in dealing with spine issues, although easier said than done. It would be a good idea to get an xray to make sure nothing major going on. If it is bothersome, applying heat and anti-inflammmatories for a couple of days might ease the pain.

Once again, I am only guessing from what you have posted and can easily be way off base here.

If the pain is in another area of your back, you should still see your dr, either way, especially if something new and unexplained. No advice can replace that for sure.

Hope you feel better,
choc
