Babysitting Business Cards?

I want to make babysitting cards for my babysitting Business, but I don't want to buy a whole box. Does anyone have any pointers on how to make them?

Buy cardstock from an office supply store, use a search engine to find a business card template, and print your own.

The most important things you can put on a business card are your name, address, phone number, and email. Don't put a lot of stuff on the card just because you want to show off how creative you are, don't put anything on the card that isn't necessary. You want to look mature and businesslike, you do NOT want to look like someone who is easily distracted from the business at hand. You might put a small photo of yourself on the card, just so that your customers are reminded of who you are and what you look like. Don't use small print, if your information is hard to read then your potential customers might just toss it.

It may actually cost you more to make them - and take longer. Either you'll buy paper and write out each one OR you'll have to buy card stock and use up your ink to print them.

I would suggest going to www.vistaprint.com. You can get a box of 250 business cards for free - just pay like $4 in shipping. That's what I did when we started up our business. Don't assume you won't use them all. Instead of tacking your business card to a bulletin board, tack a snack size ziploc bag with a handful of them in there. Many people look at boards and think 'Hey, that's interesting' but how often do you think someone actually grabs a pen to write down a phone number - or even has a pen on them? It's much easier for a potential client - especially a busy parent with their hands full to grab a card.

Good luck!
