I know, I look young. I've heard it all my life.
But recently I've started feeling that I'm the age that I really am.
What I mean that I really feel that I'm 20, not 16-17..That I've felt for a long time.

Until yesterday, our new boss comes and visits us, my sister is busy so I went and greated her "hello my name is blablabla" shook her hand. She then proceeds to put her jacket away and my sister comes in and the boss goes "so this is your daughter?" then she quickly goes "well maybe not" when she realises how young my sister is. She then later kind of apologized with some weird stuff she said that didn't really make any sence and I just laughed it off with "well everyone thinks I'm younger than I am"

But truly it really fucking hurt me. I'm so FUCKING TIRED OF HEARING IT ALL THE TIME. I try to ignore and just go well I do look young.

But it's really getting to me, when I try so hard to be what I am and then everyone is "youre 20!?" I tought you where 14-17 "oh thanks..."

I can't really do anything about it because I have this stupid round face that makes me look like a baby and my height that makes me no taller than a 10year old.

/end of rant.
no need to response, I just needed to get this anger out.

You get a response anyway.

I've got a baby face too. Hidden behind a beard which I realize is probably not an option for you. There isn't much that you can do about it but trust me, it gets better. In a few years, once you've matured a bit and moved forward in your career people will stop assuming you're 17 years old. Eventually it does get a little better.

Holy crap, you're 20???

Teasing, sorry....

Anyway, when you're in your 30's and look like you're in your 20's, maybe you won't mind so much.

I sort of get that too. Not a lot, but sometimes.

I'm sorry! Uber is right, though. In time, it will get better. Everybody ages in different ways.

How? There is nothing she can do short of taking testosterone pills. SO it is comforting to know that she won't have to stress about what most women in their 30's stress about, aging.

thanks for the response :hug2:
I know it will get better, but it was just a little to much the comment she gave me. I usually don't care, but then it seemed like "for fucking fucks sake!" and I needed to rant :happysad:

Yeah, you want to wait more than 1/2 of your current life span to feel better?

In a decade it won't matter but today it does. Waiting a week is easy. Waiting a decade sucks.

Sometimes wearing a certain type of clothing could make you look older, or a different hairstyle. I have a major babyface and I don't have the same option as Uber to grow out a beard because it would be see through. Maybe just exploring options like this could make you look older. Good luck :)

The good news is that if you take care of your skin, when you are 30 people will say you look 19, and when you are 70 you will look 40. I get carded buying cigarettes, and I'll be 30 in a few weeks.

I also look younger than I am. I will probably be carded until I'm at least 30.

I just hate when they think that my younger sister is my older sister. :D I don't let it bother me much at all though. I'll be so very grateful when I'm 40. My mother looks about ten years younger than she is.

I don't always get carded when getting beer. But I always ask how old I look. I get 20 to 41. When people start thinking your 17 years older than you realy are, start bitching.

Besides, your hot.
