Baby Looney Tunes or Loonatics? Which was more tolerable?

^ this.

The series itself, putting aside the looney tunes-ishness of the character designs (unecessary and detractive imo) is not such a bad concept. With original characters it could be as good as any other hero vs villain type action show like Ben 10 or wtvr

Yeah, tough choice (given both were pretty awful), but I'll go with Loonatics, since I actually made it through both seasons (as incredibly lame as human versions of Pepe Le Pew/Foghorn Leghorn* were)...

(* yes, I know Foggy was based on a very-much-human old radio show character....)

They're both pretty bad but I feel if Baby Looney Tunes wasn't so late to the babyfication thing it would've been more tolerable. Although with Tiny Toons during that time, it was probably better not to have 2 Looney Tunes babyfications at the same time especially since Tiny Toons was pretty good though it wasn't a direct babyfication.

I consider Tiny Toon Adventures to be a next gen series rather than a babyfication.

Anyway, Baby Looney Tunes basically borrowed the Jim Henson's Muppet Babies concept and applied it to the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies characters, right down to casting Granny as Nanny (Although the fact that June Foray is still around to provide Granny's voice was admittedly kind of cool). I get that BLT was for little kids, but I could barely sit trhough an entire episode of it. With the exceptions of Sniffles and (arguably) Tweety, The Looney Tunes characters were not meant to be cute and cuddly; they're wacky, nutty and edgy, and that's how they should stay.

Loonatics at least had an interesting concept; LT/MM characters as superheroes, which might, repeat, might have worked if it had been handled correctly. WB could have done this as a Just-Us League of Super Toons TV series with the original gang in capes and made it a strictly for laughts super hero spoof and it may have gone over better instead creating a "new" generation of characters and advertising them as the successors to the throne.
