I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this problem I am wondering is this a B12 Deficiency or possibly something else such as Anemia
Symptoms
  1. Numbness in toes (Mainly big toe, and long toe beside it on each foot)
  2. Severe itching on toes ( On toes and under nails, and under skin)
  3. Hurts to walk
  4. Burning sensation in both feet
  5. Having trouble sleeping due to pain and burning in feet
Have talked to family doctor about issues and was sent to a neurologist, had blood work done and nothing has shown up. This has been getting worse over the last two years so I am wondering can anyone shed some light on this does it sound like a B12 Deficieny, Gout, Anemia???? if anyone could give some answers it would appreciated.

Hi, Pei . . . since it seems to be confined to your feet (you would pretty much feel a vitamin deficiency in several places), I would have your doctor check your feet for a fungal infection. Athlete foot or toe nail fungus can cause the symptoms you describe. I had athlete foot once and while it itched most of the time, it could actually get painful from the burning and made walking uncomfortable.

Let us know how you do!

Start taking a multivitamin, and a 1000mcg B12 tablet every day.

Apply some Asorbine Junior to your feet at bedtime, and take a simple analgesic (Tylenol, or Tylenol PM) before bed
