B/A: Pacing in fictional romances?

One of the most difficult obstacles facing the writer is how to pace their tale; even worse is if they must add a romance to contribute to the story.

Do you value a "realistic" pacing in your romances, or can you forgive a couple that quickly/too slowly falls in love? Is your view changed if a writer can make it work?

BQ2: When do you like to see the couple get together in the story?
