Simpler but not necessarily correct, if Arizona passes it will end up in front of the Supreme court, I think it will get struck down, Joe obviously differs on that opinion
Mikel, the 14th is ambiguous on this, as it stands now they are given birthright citizenship, and I doubt that will change anytime soon, and would more than likely require an amendment to the Constitution.
i would love that, give more green cards out as well. at least they have status. and more security. one of the main reasons that AZ is doing this is because of drug smuggling their is very bad
I gotta say one thing about Mexicans though. About 10 of them tag teamed my roof last Thursday. They arrived about 8:30 and had a completely new roof on by 4:30. They even had to replace some bad wood in places. And it looks great. Those fuckers can pound out some manual labor.
But as stated in this thread earlier, but not expanded upon...if we want this to stop we need to fix the root problem. It's not necessarily our job to fix but even if we could 'assist' mexico in getting a political party in power that just fucking eradicates the cartels and starts to expand business, that would be a start.
Yes, if they make a proper ruling based in law and the constitution, they will. They will build on the precedent set in US v. Wong Kim Ark to say that the parents maintaining a permanent residence must be in the US LAWFULLY.
Granted it might get fucked by having a "wise latina" on the court.
