AZ to propose a law that would deny citizenship to children of illegals

The laws target illegal immigrants, the fact that most of them are Mexican is a moot point.

Good, illegals should be forced to go through the proper avenues of entering the United States.

..and if any of the anti-immigration crew really looked at how impossible the idea of "get in line and do it legally" is for a poor family from oaxaca, that entire line of reasoning would be discarded.

I agree that we're in financially unstable times, but our values as Americans should not change relative to our wallets. Even in our worst times, most of us can go homeless, living in piece of shit cars, and still survive off charity from local food shelters and other organizations. Shit, alcoholics and drug addicts can go through rehab 30 times and be cared for financially during their efforts.

Hell, people here even have the ability to commit crimes if they absolutely have no other option to survive, then they are given food and shelter in jail. They still have a chance.

Many of these people, get sent home to die without access to humane and appropriate opportunities.

Either our values as Americans are inside of us, not just in a legal name (American Citizen). I believe our values should come from our humanity, not our bill of rights or constitution.

Good. When we legally immigrated to Japan when I was a kid, since we didn't speak Japanese, we had to pay to go to a private school where we were taught in English. We also learned to read, write and speak Japanese even though the move wasn't a permanent one.

Yes, is pretty much is. You think we should shut the fuck up and leave them alone because they're trying to better their lives.

You talk a lot of shit considering the fact that all the "BORN HERE = CITIZEN" idiots have backpedaled and changed their argument based on what I've said.

it's the pragmatic way to solve the problem. an impenetrable, militarized, 2000 mile long border with our largest trading partner is ridiculous and impossible.

those who do not wish to live at least somewhat americanized lives are statistically insignificant.

Not my point - my point was let's not throw away what America is to deal with special cases.
