Axl Rose is the greatest frontman in rock and roll history

I assume this last bit was a question? I saw Tomahawk when they opened for Tool waaay back when; both sets were awesome, but Patton had more energy (jumping around, very high energy) whereas Maynard had more 'atmosphere' (hanging around in the shadows at the back of the stage.)

I'd probably kill to see Patton back in his FNM or Bungle days though.

You are both wrong.
Kurt Cobain (well Nirvanna actually) took an already established type of music and brought it to the mainstream.
Sonic Youth taught Nirvanna everything Nirvanna would ever know. The difference is that Sonic Youth (who is still touring and putting out albums) never made it with the main stream. Nirvanna did.

As far as Kurt killing himself is concerned. I find it obvious that he was an individual that mentally wasn't able to handle the fame he found. It was like the guy was a creature that could have subsisted playing at bars forever - and been relatively happy - but this incredible fame they found was too much. An overload.

Kurt Cobain and Nirvanna is a tragedy.
