ax8600 help

dam alltel phones...

im having a hard time having LGdownload do any sort of NV editing on this one. keeps asking for all sorts of digits or sub ID's.

btw... dont try to flash the vx8600 on top of this, it doesnt work

any ideas on this one?

You should be able to flash the VX8600 on top of it ive done it in the past just fine.

Ive also done the vx8600, i dont think you be able to pull off mms on the alltel version maybe if you put the verizon firmware on it

i flashed with verizon firmware in emergency mode, bin download, and upgrade and they all bricked my phones

I've been able to get wap working on this before. It's not hard as I'm sure you already know. I was working on the picture messaging but the lady wanted her phone back before I could get it.

Try a hex edit using bitpim and looking for the nvm_0006 file... I believe that's the one that houses the MMS info.

I just ordered 10 of these phones yesterday so I should be getting them sometime by the end of the week and then I'll be able to work on them some more and maybe we can collaborate on how to get this working, only if you haven't figured it out by then.

it will not work like that. all alltel lgs do this they will not allow mms.i have tried with the AX8600 dll wrote all the setting wap works fine but mms will not take i have even tried taking the nv_items from a vx and putting it on a ax and still no go all lg alltels are like this and have not figured it out
