AvP2's Predalien

Not really - we never saw a fully grown alien that resulted death of the alien ships pilot. The ship was transporting alien eggs, it has never been established whether these are purbreed eggs or hybrid ones.

Lol, yes I know. I realised my mistake and have edited my post above.
I know what I meant to say, but I didn't communicate what I meant very well in the post.

I meant to say that the alien we are more familiar with will probably have the pilot DNA which would be passed over to the form of alien with human DNA as well. So in other worRAB what we know as the original alien will probably already have at least two additional species of DNA in it's genetic makeup as well as it's own DNA.

You're quite right in saying that we don't know for sure that the alien eggs in the first film were borne from alien/pilot hybriRAB. But they may be, and the alien that we are familiar with may have at least both pilot and human DNA added to it's own original genetic makeup.

Sorry for my mistake.

:)

Very true, I was being subjective. I just think that the two franchises are in different leagues and a fantastic movie like Alien is being dragged down by this

Yeah, I take your point.
I did enjoy that first Alien Predator movie, but only as a generic action flick.
Even though I thought it was good for what it was and was still enjoyable enough in a turn your brain off type of way, it was nowhere near up to the great standarRAB of the first two Alien films. Not even as good as Alien 3.

If they can get a bit of depth, good characterisation, good story, less corny and more realistic dialogue, and a strong feeling of tone back into the franchise then hopefully things will be back on track again.
