Avoiding Installation Fees

I currently rent a 9242 on a two year contract. It was professionally installed. I had the installer run 4 lines from the SW44 inside.

Now I would like to purchase a used or refurbished 2nd Receiver.

Can I have that 2nd receiver activated on my current account without incurring any installation charges? and without another Installer visit?

Yes. Just buy the receiver and call in to activate it.

There would be a charge if you decided to RENT another receiver but if you buy it and install it yourself, you are just fine.

If buying USED, ensure it has been removed from the current owners account and that they have informed Bell TV of it's sale.
 


Sounds like you already have all the connections...
All you have is to plug in the receiver and go on the web site (bell.ca) to activate it (if you buy it new, you can not activate receivers that belonged to another client that way) or press MENU 6 1 3 to get the system info on screen (or SYST INFO button). Call BellTV and activate it. If you have the Legacy package (which is ulikely since you have a rental 9242, so you are probably fairly new client) they will charge you a multiple receiver charge of 4.99$ if you don't have movies or 2.99$ if you have movies. If you are on the current package (as I'm almost sure you are) there is no extra cost
 
Thanks..Yes a new client (5 weeks). So I'm just going to buy the receiver from a Bell World and activate it on bell.ca
