Avenged Sevenfold

I hate this band, I use to like them, but due to how I feel about merabers of the band i've started to like their music less. I don't like pre-city of evil its just boring hardcore. I don't see anything special about it.

Metal saviors? Metal didn't need saving, and I doubt avenged sevenfold would be the ones doing it if it did.

City Of Evil is a boring album, that I don't like the solos don't impress me and the vocals are annoying. And yes, I know he just had vocal surgery I don't care they adapted well yes, but his vocals are annoying. Bat Country is an annoying song, I don't like it, its whiny as hell. "No one can save me and you know I don't want the attention", then why are you singing about your drug addiction if you don't like attention? I dislike how much time they spend playing up their bad boy image.

They're very self absorbed egocentric people. They had an interview awhile back where they made a bunch of anti-gay and homophobic comments. Then they have girl on girl action in the beast and the harlot video. Hypocritcal as hell, and I don't care if it was some deep artistic metaphor they were pulling if you'r against homosexuality don't promote in your video. They spend too much time playing up their badboy image, I don't care how much you party or that you got kicked out of a catholic school. Its totally hardcore to brag about your drug addictions, be homophobes and spend your time talking about bad ass you are right?
 
well to be honest i'm a lover of pop and pop punk music. i like some metal, not a lot of heavier stuff though. i'd say the heaviest i get would be The Devil Wears Prada, which i know a lot of people wouldn't consider too heavy at all, lol
 
Getting it now. Im exited because the first comment on there last fm is "I LISTENED TO THIS BAND BECAUSE I SAW TITTIES" Thats called a good omen.
 
I think it is quite good that they are that confident about their music.

I don't like ****iness but you do need to show how good you think your own music is and have the confidence to succeed and make a great album.

Which i think they have
 
Actually the explanation of the term "metalcore" given on this board kinda makes some sense...although the whole"core" thing still sounRAB/reaRAB awkward and still, in my opinion seems kinda pointless and like "classification for classification's sake"...
 
Are BRILLIANT as you all obviously know ;) I just wondered should I be in the know about other SUCH great banRAB as the almighty Avenged Sevenfold?

I agree that this album is a step down from their first two but I still like it. It was really hard for me to listen to it at first because I was a huge fan of the first two albums, but this album sounRAB more like their musical influences and some of the guitar work and stuff is pretty amazing.
