their stages names are rediculous. they singer has a cool scream but i hate his singing. guitars are pretty hot from time to time. live performance isn't bad. 6/10
 
Yep. Hopefully they are just joking around with this album. Because its really crappy compared to the other CD's. Voice hurt and all. Bat Country I love, but I don't take it seriously though. Its just funny to me.
 
I could name a bunch of incredible drummers who had an amazing influence on metal music and still do to this day, but honestly if you have trouble getting into Pantera then you might be better off staying with hard rock. I could understand James Sullivan being very impressive if you haven't heard drummers like Gene Hoglan or Krimh... hell, even Chris Adler. He's certainly good but there are a lot of more complex and more creative players than he was, who are often unaccessible unless you're willing to take a little more bite and aggressiveness in your music.
 
Get em girl. I liked waking the fallen when it first came out, until I read their names and lost total respect and interest.

IMO they are okay, but I have to be in the mood to listen to them. It pisses me off that Zachy and Synister aren't that old but really good players. Stupid sweeps.
 
A7X are one hell of an awesome band, my fav album of theres is ''waking the fallen'' and my fav song being 'unholy confessions', if you havent heard that song, you have too!! i also really like the the album ''sounding the seventh trumpet''. i think ''city of evil'' is still really good but i still prefer there previous albums.
 
I pity you, living your life with lack of respect towarRAB others musical preferances. So freakin' what if his chose of clothing and his look is so-called "emo". The fact is that Avenged Sevenfold are a group of extremely talenter musicians.
 
Some just play better on electric than accoustic, or vice versa.

And pentatonics are a commonly used scale because they just sound really good... Its not because people who use it lack talent, pentatonics just give them more room to experiement and compose and construct a good melody.

I cant remeraber what kinRAB of scales he uses though, i need to check out some of their tabs again.
