I cannot wait to see the movie it looks really good,but I hope it is as good as the one on nick.
 
Maiko is my favourite couple too *grins and points to icon*. This couple holds a very special place in my heart, as they were the first couple my boyfriend and I roleplayed as together. I also love Kataang and Sukka - Tokka is good too!

Mai is my favourite character, but I really do love them all - so many great, well written characters in that show. The whole show, actually, was very well written and an absolute joy to watch... It's just such a shame the movie turned out to be such a disappointment in so many ways.

Anyway, onto more positive things! If you didn't know already, there's a new Avatar series set to start sometime in 2011! It's going to be "The Legend of Korra", with the protagonist being a female Waterbender :D I don't know about you guys, but I am sooooo excited!

Thanks for those pics, Allison! :) Am I the only one who still doesn't think Zuko's scar is severe enough? Maye it's the lighting or something but it looks like a little rash near his eye. :P

Love Aang's look (can barely see the arrow too... maybe it's my monitor?) and I too am tentatively waiting to see Sokka (extra tan) and Katara.
 
Zuko and Mai are my favorite couple. Zuko and Toph are my favorite characters. ^.^
 
I think he's the firebender that the earthbender is fighting in the trailer. Could be. Not really sure though, since it was about half a second long.

And I totally missed Appa! Appa! I'm freakishly excited about seeing Appa in the movie.

The visuals seem to be awesome, but I'm wondering if it'll be like Avatar (ironic) which had amazing visuals but the actual plot was... lacking.

That said, I can't wait for the theatrical trailer.
 
In the end, I just couldn't submit myself to watching the whole Kids Choice Awards just to see the actors of the live action adaptation. Maybe for the voice actors but not live action. And I was hoping I could find relevant clips online. I did some Googling and found some pics of some of them on the "orange carpet".

(I can't believe they mispronounced Sokka's name. :( And the actors look so... white. Seriously, there's no other way to say it. They don't look anything like our original, beloved Sokka and Katara. I don't know why I'm bringing it up as if I just noticed...)
 
Hi guys! I just recently got into The Last Airbender because I saw the trailer and was so intrigued. My brothers, who are huge fans, told me to watch the animated series and now that's what I'm doing. I watched chapter 1 (Water) and was so hooked! It really has a nice story. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the upcoming film. I just hope the actors they chose would really do justice to the characters.

Avatar extras status: A poster on a well known Avatar forum has been screencapping a few episodes. If I don't find the episodes, the pics will at least let you know what kind of "extras" you're missing. :P

Uh, yes it does. Plus I don't really watch any shows on NBC (in fact, I do believe that if Community never came along, I would have no shows on there that I'd watch.)

You're way too excited for what I consider some less than personally satisfactory caps. :lol: Seriously, I only got three not-fully-visible characters (and one of them is more of a guess. I tried to brighten, crop and clarify but it still seems a bit fuzzy to me. What's with all the dark colors in action movie trailers?

This is the only one where I'm not 100% sure. In the cartoon, in the scene this was promo scene is based on, Gran Gran was definitely in the background, on Katara and Sokka's left side (the viewer's right side.) I have to think they'd have Gran Gran in the background in the cap but the follow-up close-up has her looking more Inuit/Asian than her Caucasian grand kids. At least that's what I think. :look:

That's definitely Appa. I've outlined the top part of his body which appears to be half-obscured behind some ice structures. You can make out the horns, arrow, and tail. :cool:

Okay, due to fighting and movement, we never see the Blue Spirit's face in this scene but I recognized the cartoon scene from the episode of the same name and what gave it away was, of course, the shrouded dude's two broadswords.

And that's all I got for now. If anyone else saw something I missed (which is most likely), lemme know so I can re-check. Or better yet post your own screencap. :D

And zuko's scar isn't horrible. I think it looks a little realistic.

Yeah I'm probably gonna do the same. As long as the acting is believable and the effects are solid, I'll consider it a good movie. (I'm wondering how they'll render Appa and Momo...)

BTW, when does Transformers come out? And if you or any of the Avatar gals on here go see it, tell me what the trailer is like because when it comes to Avatar, I'm clearly desperate for news even if the promo is minuscule. :lol:
 
I've heard some pretty negative things about the DBZ movie from the very beginning. I never watched it, but I can feel their pain.

So, I was watching Nick yesterday and remembered the days when Nick would just play the same episodes of Avatar all the time. Like, the Season 1 finale. Just over and over again.

I miss those days.

Now it's just all Spongebob (as always) and iCarly, though I do love iCarly.

I've been India all this time and I couldn't share my thoughts with you about HP movie! I thought it was amazing (Except for a certain character that completely ruined every scene she was in :rolleyes:)

But how has everyone been!?



Word to this! Dev would've been such a better Sokka...he's so funny in RL! Hopefully all this worrying will be nothing and the acting will be good...hopefully.
 
According to this article, Dev Patel will be Zuko :goof: Don't get me wrong, I think Dev is a fantastic actor...but Zuko??

Oh my goodness finally some news on The Last Airbender! :blinkie: I really like that trailer and my hopes for this movie have risen exponentially! I'll have to re-watch to catch Appa but so far it looks like they got everything (even if they barely showed Zuko, Sokka, and Katara.)
