Avatar: The Last Airbender #3: "Air, water, earth, fire... fan and sword!"

I would recommend 'P.S I love you'.

(Never, ever, heather, bether, ever seen it before in my life, but a good romance story, with Hilary Swank? C'mon, you know have to see it... She was also in
'The Karate Kid 4: The Next Karate Kid' - Pure Bodayshic Awesomness... In case you were wondering)

Totally!

I actually don't mind the serious tone of the film. I don't think the humor of the show would have translated well to film and I'm glad M. Night didn't try because I don't think he could have pulled it off. At all.

Plus the really serious moments in the show were the most important to the plot.

On another note, is anyone else suspicious that we have yet to see Katara waterbend in the trailers?

thanks for opening the thread Hestia!! your awesome!

its seems like Nick hasn't shown any avatar episodes since the finale. whats up with that?! then again they never had shown avatar repeats.

Dark Night plus Avatar equals surprising compatibility! Very nice. I gotta check the Comic Con links when I have more time but I've been thinking of possible thread titles:

The Legend of Aang (that's what the show is called "across the pond".)
Water, Earth, and Fire. Three seasons, three loves. (kind of like how Iroh sings that song. I love his singing.)
"Air, water, earth, fire... fan and sword!" (A Sokka quote from the last movie that I really enjoyed.)

Please feel free to suggest other titles or tell me if you prefer any of these I posed. :)

^ I know, right? :D Love watching old episodes of Avatar. In fact, on Nicktoons (if you get it), on Fridays they show episodes from season 1 with little "pop up" facts right in the episode. Like that VH1 show 'Pop Up Video'.

So am I! I think I'm more worried about Appa and Momo than I am about the actors. I haven't read anything about them. Aang without Appa is just... wrong.

Also, I found out recently that Mai Whitman (voice of Katara) is going to be in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, playing Roxy Richter. I'm super excited about this. I love the graphic novel and it's being directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), and I just had to share.

Yup. He's awesome. If you have the chance to catch up completely, I highly recommend it. The second season finale (because I refuse to believe it won't get picked up for another season) was intense. It left me speechless. I loved it.

Back to Avatar....

That would be cool. Or maybe after the movie. But like I said, I'm not really sure how I heard about a TV movie. I really want one though. I'm still dying to know what happened to Zuko's mother after she left the Fire Nation. Is Zuko ever going to reunite with her? It was an awesome storyline and it just dropped.

I was actually wondering how much Mike and Bryan were involved with the live action movie. I know that they're both producers for the movie, but I'm not sure how much control they have over the final product since M.Night wrote the screenplay and is directing.

Also, I don't know if anyone has checked out the IMDB page, but the main part of the cast (excluding Toph) has been announced.

Welcome digi_owens! and thanks lostpinguin, Nastia was amazing

You know, if I ever get time, I will try and write a fanfiction (after finishing my other ones :look:)

It actually looks pretty good  Although, why does Sokka not look comical? He always looks so serious. Hopefully thats just the trailer and he's not like that throughout the whole movie.

 we do have similar tastes! We're shipping twins

Hestia, I loved Wall-E. I saw it when it first came out. :)

And Slumdog Millionaire is a heart-warmer. It deals with a lot of hard issues, but at the end it's a love story with a happy ending (and a dance nuraber).

I have mixed feelings about the Avatar movie, just from the random castings and M. Night. Dev was definitely a smart choice to cast before the Oscars. He'll get it some positive buzz.

Stacey! :D

Well, with all the Oscar buzz that movie's been getting I was intrigued, but if you and Allison both recommend it, I guess that cinches it. :) It's not too sad or angsty, is it? I'd rather avoid movies that have a depressing ending whenever possible. (All I know is that it's a rag-to-riches type story but I'm still wary of anything Oscar nominated. You know how the academy likes their drama.)

And as long as we're recommending, if no one has seen Wall-E yet, they totally should. It's all adorable fluff and sweetness. I'm such a sap.

^^Hestia!

^I completely agree with you Allison. Slumdog Millionaire is a mustwatch and Dev is an amazing actor, but he's definitely better of as Sokka. He has a Sokkaish aura to him
