Avatar: The Last Airbender #3: "Air, water, earth, fire... fan and sword!"

I've heard some pretty negative things about the DBZ movie from the very beginning. I never watched it, but I can feel their pain.

So, I was watching Nick yesterday and remerabered the days when Nick would just play the same episodes of Avatar all the time. Like, the Season 1 finale. Just over and over again.

I miss those days.

Now it's just all Spongebob (as always) and iCarly, though I do love iCarly.

i watched it xD Jackson was there too. Also the girl that plays Katara was there; i need to learn her name lol.

i don't think the boy that plays Aang was there

I can't believe that the guy who is playing Sokka is actually playing Sokka. But I shouldn't dislike people just because they're in Twilight.

I saw some cast photos somewhere on the internet. I'll try to find them and post the links for you guys.

^Yea I haven't seen HBP yet either, I'll be seeing it today. But from what I hear of the H/Hr moments, I can hardly wait!

and I can't wait for a real preview to bring down my real judgement on avatar-live action :look:

Team Coco!

Uh, yes it does. Plus I don't really watch any shows on NBC (in fact, I do believe that if Community never came along, I would have no shows on there that I'd watch.)

You're way too excited for what I consider some less than personally satisfactory caps. Seriously, I only got three not-fully-visible characters (and one of them is more of a guess. I tried to brighten, crop and clarify but it still seems a bit fuzzy to me. What's with all the dark colors in action movie trailers?

This is the only one where I'm not 100% sure. In the cartoon, in the scene this was promo scene is based on, Gran Gran was definitely in the background, on Katara and Sokka's left side (the viewer's right side.) I have to think they'd have Gran Gran in the background in the cap but the follow-up close-up has her looking more Inuit/Asian than her Caucasian grand kiRAB. At least that's what I think. :look:

That's definitely Appa. I've outlined the top part of his body which appears to be half-obscured behind some ice structures. You can make out the horns, arrow, and tail.

Okay, due to fighting and movement, we never see the Blue Spirit's face in this scene but I recognized the cartoon scene from the episode of the same name and what gave it away was, of course, the shrouded dude's two broaRABworRAB.

And that's all I got for now. If anyone else saw something I missed (which is most likely), lemme know so I can re-check. Or better yet post your own screencap. :D

i know, how is it that jimmy survived all that?! crazy. and he constantly reminded me of milo ventigmilia from Heroes.

^ love your icon, Stacey i'll be seeing hp6 this week i think. hear there's some cute H/hr moments.

Well, today is the day we have been anticipating. The Last Airbender (the live action movie adapted from our beloved cartoon) is showing in theaters...

And the reviews are baaaad. :( I've been anticipating watching it tomorrow, Friday, with a friend but my brother, who had also wanted to see it, changed his tune when he read the reviews on RottenTomatoes and IMDB. Geez. I didn't want to believe M.Night could screw it up but so many subpar reviews...

I guess I'll go in with my head up high and my expectations way low... I will come back with a comprehensive review over the weekend. (I haven't done one of those since season 3 of ATLA... I miss it so!)

Oh my goodness finally some news on The Last Airbender! :blinkie: I really like that trailer and my hopes for this movie have risen exponentially! I'll have to re-watch to catch Appa but so far it looks like they got everything (even if they barely showed Zuko, Sokka, and Katara.)

I can only hope that if people new to the series do check out the new movie and like it, they'll give the cartoon a chance. :) Someday we'll get more Avatar fans and then we'll get a list going. I'm not in a hurry for a forum. I rather like our cozy little thread.

You missed the entire last book or just, like, the last four chapters with the epic final battle? In any case, you have GOT to watch it! It's amazing! Either rent it, buy it, or find it online, just find some free time and check it out, daydrearabear! :pinkie: Let us know what you decide to do and if you've watched the episodes yet!

P.S: About one week until the screening of 'The Last Airbender' trailer attached to Transformers.

thanks Veiled Vista yeah i'm too lazy to change it, even though i tell myself it about time for a change.

oh yes! nothing can kill avatar haha!!

^ Yes it is Dan/Emma dancing on the set of Deathly Hallows. Apparently its a scene in the movie:)

Well we get to see Zuko and Katara bending their elements. And Aang's voice...woah. I didn't expect that voice from that kid

So did anyone watch the KiRAB Choice awarRAB? All I know was that Dev was there.
