Avatar: The Last Airbender #3: "Air, water, earth, fire... fan and sword!"

If only I had NickToons...

Word. I miss all of the long reaction posts we'd have here after a new episode...

In four months it's going to be a year since the last episode, and it's been four years since it aired. I can't believe it.

For some reason, I have the idea that Nick is going to do a TV movie thing, separate from the M.Night movie. Has anyone else heard of this or is it just wishful thinking?

And this is off topic, but Stacey, I can't believe Derek is gone. :(

Yea who the hell is the earthbender? king of omashu??

And zuko's scar isn't horrible. I think it looks a little realistic.

Katara and Sokka -> :no:

ursa as a firebender hmmm, that would be pretty awesome.

yeah usa got most metals but China won most gold. good for them, and us!

Yeah I'm probably gonna do the same. As long as the acting is believable and the effects are solid, I'll consider it a good movie. (I'm wondering how they'll render Appa and Momo...)

BTW, when does Transformers come out? And if you or any of the Avatar gals on here go see it, tell me what the trailer is like because when it comes to Avatar, I'm clearly desperate for news even if the promo is minuscule.

I will still say this over and over again. Dev = perfect Sokka. Just look at his goofy smile!
jackson
I know Hestia , at least Aang looks somewhat well cast.

I wonder if Ursa is a firebender... if she were it'd be awesome to see her open up a can of whoop-@$$ on her former hubby for hurting her son.

I'm not following the Olympics much. How is team USA doing anyway?

Well, I was going to go see Transformers anyway. :P

I suspect the trailer will be a lot like the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight. A bit of dialogue, the title, and the release date. If we're lucky we may see some of Dev.

I've been thinking, and I think the best strategy when going to see the movie is to think of it as completely separate from the cartoon. This is what I do when I see a movie based on a book that I really like. I think it can be applied here too.

The only thing that's making me nervous is that M. Night Shyamalan is directing it. His last movies have sucked and the only amazing movie he has ever made was the Sixth Sense. I hope he's got his creativity back because I do not want this movie to suck balls

^ That's why I love this little thread. So much understanding. BTW, Stacey come and share with the thread your thoughts about the HP movie. :D We need more posts in this thread. (And we can be off-topic as long as we post something on-topic.)

Avatar extras status: A poster on a well known Avatar forum has been screencapping a few episodes. If I don't find the episodes, the pics will at least let you know what kind of "extras" you're missing. :P

Maiko is my favourite couple too *grins and points to icon*. This couple holRAB a very special place in my heart, as they were the first couple my boyfriend and I roleplayed as together. I also love Kataang and Sukka - Tokka is good too!

Mai is my favourite character, but I really do love them all - so many great, well written characters in that show. The whole show, actually, was very well written and an absolute joy to watch... It's just such a shame the movie turned out to be such a disappointment in so many ways.

Anyway, onto more positive things! If you didn't know already, there's a new Avatar series set to start sometime in 2011! It's going to be "The Legend of Korra", with the protagonist being a female Waterbender :D I don't know about you guys, but I am sooooo excited!

Here's an interview with Mike and Bryan on the new series:
'Legend of Korra': The 'Avatar' Creators on the New Spinoff - Speakeasy - WSJ

(Heh... can't help but notice how they're very unwilling to comment on the movie... I wonder if that's their way of saying they weren't pleased?)

I don't know how I'm containing myself from "SQUEE"-ing really loud right now and waking up my nan XD More animated Avatar... strong female lead... Ooh, Kataang babies

Thanks Allison! Those pictures look... well, fine I guess. I was hoping to see an actor though. :look: And I can't wait to see the trailer when it gets put up on Youtube ('Cuz there's no way I'm sitting through Transformers 2 just for a trailer of a movie I'm still on the fence about.)

 Hestia we do like different ships! Oh it's okay, we still get along
And :yay: you like Harry Potter! I'm going to go see the movie in about an hour so let's see if we can agree on one thing

Because Mike sucks :pout: Why have that cliffhanger over us!? Maybe it will be in the DVD

And I would be in first in line to get the soundtrack. Avatar music is just pure...awesome.

^I love iCarly too! Its one of those few kid shows that I like.

But anyway, they play Avatar everyday on NickToons. I just miss the thrill of Avatar in general.

Thanks for the welcome :) Btw, you can call me Ann.

I'm excited about the new show. I heard that Aang is going to be in it and his son is teaching Korra secretly with air bending.

 I'm Team CoCo as well. Its horrible how the network treated him  And the Olympics are off to a good start. You can kind of follow it online without having to watch NBC

Hestia, those screencaps are better than anything I can do :lmao: I had noticed Appa, but I hadn't noticed possible Gran Gran and the Blue Spirit. I wish we could see the Blue Spirit's face :pout:
